Breaking Bad, Jackie Brown actor Robert Forster dies aged 78

The actor died of brain cancer at his Los Angeles home. Co-stars Samuel L Jackson and Bryan Cranston are some of the celebrities who have paid tribute.

American actor Robert Forster who was best known for his function in crime thriller Jackie Brown has died at the historic period of 78 of brain cancer.

Co-ordinate to his publicist, the thespian died at his Los Angeles home on Friday (October xi) after a short disease.

Forster was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the 1997 Quentin Tarantino-directed picture; the manager had written the part of bail bondsman Max Cherry for him. He lost out on the award to Robin Williams for Proficient Will Hunting.

The actor recently appeared in Breaking Bad and El Camino, a film based on the TV series, which recently aired on Netflix. He was also in David Lynch'due south Mulholland Drive and Twin Peaks and played Tim Allen's male parent in the sitcom Final Man Standing.

Jackie Brown co-stars Samuel Fifty Jackson and Pam Grier, as well equally Breaking Bad co-stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are amidst some of the celebrities who accept paid tribute to Forster on social media.

Cranston said: "I never forgot how kind and generous he was to a young child only starting out in Hollywood." He also called Forster a "lovely homo and a consummate histrion".

Paul wrote that he was "heartbroken" to hear the news. "I had the privilege of knowing this beautiful human being and working aslope of him. A true gentleman that loved to act. I love you my friend. Thank you for loving me. You are and e'er will be a legend."

Jackson tweeted: "RIP Robert Forster!! A truly class act/Actor!!"

Forster will appear in the Steven Spielberg-produced Apple+ fantasy serial Amazing Stories afterwards this year.
